Alacrity Paintchat
Started By
I've noticed that, besides site artists, there are a lot of artists that use Alacrity. I think that everyone would have a lot of fun with a paintchat. :D One with opacity variation would be ace. Also, while it would be great for everyone to use, it'd probably be best to restrict use to upgraded users. This would minimize paintchat trolling; it'd be pretty easy to sign up just to draw naughties all over the paintchat.

Supported. Maybe someone can inquire to the iScribble staff if there will ever be an embeddable app/widget/whatnot. Maybe Ala could be a BETA tester. :P

Hmm, poor wording on my part perhaps. I do support the idea, but what if instead of account type you had to pay a fee of some sort to use the chat? It would better ensure that only the most dedicated people would use it.

Please explain how it encourages any form of discrimination. We've tested out iScribble just to see how things would go, everyone had a good time. The picture posted below had.. so many people contributing. I love to see cooperation like that, and it strengthens bonds between us players.

And yes, upgraded users can be trolls. Logistically, though, there are less of them. Not many trolls want to spend ten dollars or play the game long enough to accumulate the bones to upgrade just to come in and mess around with the paintchat.

I did consider the pros and cons before mentioning the idea.

I'm rather iffy. The idea is great, but it encourages player-type discrimination. While I agree that it would also encourage people to donate to upgrade, upgraded people can be as big of trolls as basic players.
(And I'm not just saying that because I'm basic right now). Long spam short, great idea but the terms should be considered.

Here's what I managed to screencap from last night's Ala iScribble session before I got sleepy to the point of stupidness.

I don't know about embedding or any mod options, but iScribble has layers, which is really great.. and doesn't seem the have a small user limit. It DOES lack opacity adjustments which sucks, but it's definitely one of the better ones I've used. And the layers are almost a must with so many people working on one image at once.

If someone can find one with layers, opacity variance, many user support, and mod power capabilities, you will be my hero.

does iscribble have a embedding option?
There is also Xat with is flash and some firewalls don't like it but allows moderator powers on it. (kicking poeple out, chat bans, and such) I'm not sure if the drawing part of it is able to be embedded though.

i think it'd be a fun idea to have =D
